It always amazes me that in times of trouble, the worst in people seems to come out the strongest. All around us people are struggling to make ends meet in this mess of an economy, and there are people out there that are trying to capitalize on their misfortunes. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in the American dream, and I'm the first to applaud the efforts of the entrepeneur who is trying to find his way to financial independence, but not at the expense of those who just don't have the money.
What I'm talking about are the countless scammers and schemers that are littering the internet with get rich quick scams. You know what I'm talking about. Guys like Bernard Madoff, the most recent Ponzi schemer, who bilked more than 15,000 people out of their life savings. These people trusted him, and trusted what he was "selling" as the answer to their financial troubles. What they didn't realize was the only person that was going to benefit from Madoff's scam was Madoff himself. He played on the trust they placed in him, and he betrayed them.
So, here we are in 2010 with the economy showing very few signs of improvement. Our heads are down at work for fear of being caught up in the rash of corporate cutbacks that's sweeping the country. Credit card bills are going up almost daily because no one recognized that the credit card companies had free reign to jack their rates at will, and now that someone is finally doing something, it's too late. And all we want to do is be a good provider for our families.
How do we do it? How do we find a way to make some extra cash without the exhausting effort of working a second or third job? How can we put some system in place that will require limited time and effort to maintain, but will put some money in our pockets and ease our stress? The answer could be Network Marketing!!
Now, why did I say "could be"? I said "could be" because Network Marketing isn't for everyone. Someone that's looking to get rich quick is probably going to struggle in Network Marketing. The reason is that these are the people that tend to jump into Network Marketing without really understanding what they're doing, and when it doesn't immediately pay-off big, they give up!! I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that Network Marketing doesn't require effort. It certainly does, but if you're willing to learn and give it a little effort, I can gaurantee that this industry can prove to be very rewarding.
The best thing you can do to become successful in Network Marketing is really a four step process. First, try to find a source of knowledge. Find someone that's successful in the industry that is willing to share what they know and how they do it. I would recommend a good friend of mine, Jonathan Budd, at the following link:

Secondly, don't go into Network Marketing with big expectations. Start slowly and be patient. Too many people jump into Network Marketing with big expectations of what they're going to do with all this extra income they're going to have. Network Marketing takes time to fully develop and grow. I've been doing this for a year, and I'm still developing my business. It's not a "get rich quick" industry, contrary to what so many marketers would try to have you believe.
Thirdly, have a back-office system that helps you run your business in an effecient and effective way. I can't stress this enough. Having the right tools to help you manage your leads, develop your capture pages and ads, and handle your back-office sales process from start to finish, is absolutely critical. I would recommend the system at the following link:

Fourth and finally, find a network that you believe in. We all go into Network Marketing for different reasons, and we all find what works best for us. What I've learned in working with marketers from many different industries, is that everyone has a story. Everyone has their driving reason for choosing the industry they work in. For me, I work exclusively in the home health industry, and I have my reasons. If you'd like to know more about my business, I would be happy to share my story and tell you about the health benefits of the products I sell. Also, if you would like to know more about working directly with me, you can email me through my blog profile. I would love to hear from you.
