You've probably heard the old saying, "It's not what you say, but how you say it..." Yet while some might question if that's really true all of the time, it's becoming increasingly apparent to me that what we say—in essence the actual words we choose to express ourselves—are more important than we might think.
For example, if you've read Yes! 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be More Persuasive, you probably already understand the point I am trying to make. And if you haven't read the book, take five minutes and watch the video below, Historia de un letrero, because its message is really quite powerful. Something to think about the next time you engage in conversation.
After all, "Today is a beautiful day...."
All the best,
Tommy

MLM Opportunity - Ready...Set...HELP!
Hi Everyone,
About 2 years ago I decided to get involved in network marketing. I had been to a family event, where an uncle talked me into joining the Trump Network. He made it sound so good. It was going to make me rich and I wasn't going to have to do a thing. Just sit back and let this thing develop, and watch the money start rolling in. Ok, so I was gullable... but I did see how online marketing could be a viable source of secondary income. Needless to say, the Trump Network wasn't something that was going to just take off without me putting in the effort. And I wasn't ready for that opportunity, or the work it would have taken to make it really pay off... or at least I wasn't ready YET.
For the last 2 years I have spent a lot of time developing my knowledge and skills for online marketing. I've worked as an affiliate marketer for a couple of very good companies that provide tools and training for new and seasoned marketers. I've made a little money as an affiliate, but more importantly I've learned how this business really works. I understand the work it takes to make the most of an MLM opportunity. I have learned how to generate an endless stream of fresh, highly targeted leads to keep replicating and growing my business. And I've learned that the only way to succeed in an MLM business is to:
1. Select an opportunity that you believe in completely
2. Learn everything there is to know about that opportunity
3. Dedicate yourself to just that one single opportunity
My business plan will result in a progressive increase in income from $10-14k in year 1, to $100K+ in year 5 and beyond. It requires an average of 10-15 hours per week initially, with very specific simple tasks each day. I use a "learn the business/do the business" approach to each new business day. This approach requires a minimum of 30 minutes reading new materials, and minimum 30 minutes taking action each day.
Now I'm at a point where I'm selecting an MLM opportunity that I can totally embrace and spend the next 5+ years developing. My business plan is solid, and I have a great base of tools and training knowledge to help my downline replicate my plan. I'm ready to take on this new opportunity, and ready to be the best leader I can be for everyone that is willing to join me in this quest.
One of the companies that I've promoted as an affiliate marketer put together a list of the top 25 MLM business opportunities based on a number of criteria. From that list (link to the list: http://www.profcs.com/app/aftrack.asp?af=1272446&u=www.nexera.com/top25 ) I've narrowed my choices to 3 MLM's:
A. Nikken (35 years in business)
B. Herbalife (30 years in business)
C. Amway (51 years in business)
Beyond the criteria Nexera applied to the top 25 list, I have my own set of criteria as follows:
1. Would I be a customer?
2. Do I believe in the products?
3. Do I have any negative impressions when I research the company?
4. Can I get traffic and leads to support my business model?
Ok, here I am... I've done my homework. I've ranked the three opportunities above based on my additional criteria (the list above is shown in no particular order). I know the opportunity that I'm leaning towards... I think... But I want to do one more bit of due dillegence...
So now I'm asking for your input.... Which one should I choose? Which one of these three would YOU choose? We're talking about the next 5 to 10 years of my life, so this is important. I truly appreciate any feedback you can provide...
Yours in Success!!
Tommy
P.S. If you would like to join me in this new business endeavor, I would love to talk more with you. Just drop me a line...
UPDATE:
The feedback has been overwhelming! Thank you to everyone that responded. Your opinions along with additional research on my part have brought me to the conclusion that I'm not NOT not joining any of the three MLM companies mentioned above. My search continues...
Thanks again!!!

Biggest Mistakes Made by NEW Network Marketers
New network marketers are constantly asking me "Tommy, what are the biggest mistakes made by someone that is new to this industry?" So today we're going to focus on a couple things that should help keep you on track to build your MLM business, and give you a leg up on the competition.
So who am I to be giving advice on running an MLM business? Admittedly I am somewhat new to this industry, having started my MLM business just over a year ago, but in that short time I've been able to grow my network to well over 200 people in my downline, and generate a good sized monthly income stream that serves as a great second income (for now). I started my business with a minimal investment, and have become a diligent student of the industry, constantly learning new theories and techniques to grow my business the least costly ways possible.
When I first started out, I made the single biggest mistake someone new to network marketing can make. I knew the key to any successful network was "LEADS", but I knew nothing about how to generate leads on my own. So what did I do? I went out and bought leads online, spending hundreds of dollars on what I now know were stale old leads that had zero interest in me, my network, or my products. Lesson 1: NEVER PAY FOR GENERIC LEADS LISTS.
You have to make the effort to put a system in place that results in the creation of a constant stream of TARGETED MLM leads for your business. Better yet, this tool should work on auto-pilot, catching the attention of new highly targeted prospects, peaking their interest in working with you, and capturing their contact information 24/7 without much maintenance required on your part. This frees up your time to concentrate on what's really important... SELLING!
You might ask, "But Tommy, How do I do that?" You've probably read or heard about lead capture pages, PPC or CPC advertising, marketing funnels, and countless other industry terms that may seem totally overwhelming. I tried for a couple months to learn all I could about lead generation, and stumbled upon a fantastic single source of knowledge, training and tools that really opened my eyes to a whole new world. My good friend Jonathan Budd has been working in this industry for several years and has really made a big name for himself as an expert MLM guru. He offers some of the leading products available to really help you get your MLM business up and running. Jonathan has created a system that provides marketers with all the tools and training they need to generate new highly targeted leads on AUTO-PILOT!!
Check out Jonathan's system at this link: www.GrowYourMLMOnline.com?a=1021242
I use Jonathan's products for my MLM business, and I'm such a believer in what he's doing that I also work as an affiliate marketer for his business. I tell everyone that joins my team to give his system a try. The system is gauranteed and totally risk free. If you don't love it, simply cancel your membership and walk away. It's really that easy. But I know you're going to love it!!
When I started, I was looking for any possible place I could post ads for my business. I went on craigslist, BackPage, and many many online "classifieds" type sites and I placed ads. Mostly what I got from this type of advertising was other people like me that were looking for someone to join their MLM business, or trying to sell me on their systems. All my time and effort was generating zero targeted leads for my new business. My message was good, but I wasn't getting it in front of the right people, and I wasn't getting it in front of ENOUGH people. Lesson 2: Don't waste time and money on advertising that doesn't target your potential prospects.
Jonathan taught me to put my efforts into the "right" kinds of advertising. Target your ads to leads that are looking for what you are selling. He taught me to use social media tools, PPC advertising, and the power of the internet to generate an endless flow of new leads that are looking for ME!!
I can't stress enough that Jonathan Budd's systems and teachings really work. I owe my success to Jonathan and his amazing systems. The tools he offers help me manage my leads, communicate easily with prospects and my downline, cut the amount of time I spend on the front end of my business cycle and concentrate on doing what makes me the most money... SELLING!!
Again, check out Jonathan's site and get in the game!! Network marketing isn't as hard as it may seem... and with the right mentor YOU can SUCCEED!!

Is Network Marketing for ME?
It always amazes me that in times of trouble, the worst in people seems to come out the strongest. All around us people are struggling to make ends meet in this mess of an economy, and there are people out there that are trying to capitalize on their misfortunes. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in the American dream, and I'm the first to applaud the efforts of the entrepeneur who is trying to find his way to financial independence, but not at the expense of those who just don't have the money.
What I'm talking about are the countless scammers and schemers that are littering the internet with get rich quick scams. You know what I'm talking about. Guys like Bernard Madoff, the most recent Ponzi schemer, who bilked more than 15,000 people out of their life savings. These people trusted him, and trusted what he was "selling" as the answer to their financial troubles. What they didn't realize was the only person that was going to benefit from Madoff's scam was Madoff himself. He played on the trust they placed in him, and he betrayed them.
So, here we are in 2010 with the economy showing very few signs of improvement. Our heads are down at work for fear of being caught up in the rash of corporate cutbacks that's sweeping the country. Credit card bills are going up almost daily because no one recognized that the credit card companies had free reign to jack their rates at will, and now that someone is finally doing something, it's too late. And all we want to do is be a good provider for our families.
How do we do it? How do we find a way to make some extra cash without the exhausting effort of working a second or third job? How can we put some system in place that will require limited time and effort to maintain, but will put some money in our pockets and ease our stress? The answer could be Network Marketing!!
Now, why did I say "could be"? I said "could be" because Network Marketing isn't for everyone. Someone that's looking to get rich quick is probably going to struggle in Network Marketing. The reason is that these are the people that tend to jump into Network Marketing without really understanding what they're doing, and when it doesn't immediately pay-off big, they give up!! I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that Network Marketing doesn't require effort. It certainly does, but if you're willing to learn and give it a little effort, I can gaurantee that this industry can prove to be very rewarding.
The best thing you can do to become successful in Network Marketing is really a four step process. First, try to find a source of knowledge. Find someone that's successful in the industry that is willing to share what they know and how they do it. I would recommend a good friend of mine, Jonathan Budd, at the following link:
http://www.GrowYourMLMOnline.com/mastermind.htm?a=1021242
Secondly, don't go into Network Marketing with big expectations. Start slowly and be patient. Too many people jump into Network Marketing with big expectations of what they're going to do with all this extra income they're going to have. Network Marketing takes time to fully develop and grow. I've been doing this for a year, and I'm still developing my business. It's not a "get rich quick" industry, contrary to what so many marketers would try to have you believe.
Thirdly, have a back-office system that helps you run your business in an effecient and effective way. I can't stress this enough. Having the right tools to help you manage your leads, develop your capture pages and ads, and handle your back-office sales process from start to finish, is absolutely critical. I would recommend the system at the following link:
http://www.TheMLMMastermindSystem.com?a=1021242
Fourth and finally, find a network that you believe in. We all go into Network Marketing for different reasons, and we all find what works best for us. What I've learned in working with marketers from many different industries, is that everyone has a story. Everyone has their driving reason for choosing the industry they work in. For me, I work exclusively in the home health industry, and I have my reasons. If you'd like to know more about my business, I would be happy to share my story and tell you about the health benefits of the products I sell. Also, if you would like to know more about working directly with me, you can email me through my blog profile. I would love to hear from you.
I will be posting more frequent updates to this blog, so check back often for more news and tips.
Feel free to please follow my blog, and stay tuned for more information every couple weeks.
Success to YOU!!

Generate Leads for Your MLM!!
A few months ago I was at a family event, and an uncle was telling me about a new network marketing opportunity that he is trying. I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to things like network marketing, because I have the same perception most americans do, that most network marketing programs are nothing but glorified pyramid schemes. But he told me to do the research and make an informed decision. So I did...
What I've learned in the last few months has been very eye opening. While I did read a ton of negative information around network marketing, I also found that there are plenty of quality networks that provide very good products and services at fair prices. The more I read, the more I realized that network marketing is all about being comfortable with the products, the company and the way that company does business.
Probably the most important realization for me, is that I knew nothing about network marketing. What I thought I knew was the same common misconceptions that most people have about the industry. So I decided to learn more and make an informed decision on network marketing as a viable way to diversify my income sources.
I found a quality network that is in the pre-launch phase of development, has fantastic products that I believe in, and has the stars aligned to become a huge success. I was just about to sign up and try my hand at this, when I realized that I didn't know anything about developing a network. I didn't know how to generate leads, I didn't know how to convert leads to customers, I didn't know how to do anything to make the most of the opportunity before me.
Again, I turned to the internet to do more research. Do you have any idea how many programs are out there that promise to transform you to a six-figure network marketer in a matter of minutes? There are programs that sell you leads, programs that help you manage your advertising, manage your back office, store your prospect lists, and much much more. It's mind boggling. So I read and read and read and read, and finally found a single source of information, tools and resources that really work for me.
I'm not a hugely successful network marketer (yet), but I have a good start. I really believe that anyone who wants it, can benefit tremendously from the information, tools and resources on the site link below. So check it out and let me know if I can help you in any way....
